AAC recognised for safety performance across active sites

Independent recognition for our HSEQ performance across the active programme — and a reminder that zero harm is the only target.

AAC has received independent recognition for its safety performance across active sites — across more than 180,000 hours worked over the last reporting period without a lost-time incident.

What it means

An award is not the point. Every person who goes onto an AAC site goes home the way they arrived — that is the only target. The recognition is a reminder that the systems are working: induction, daily briefings, supervisor walks, HSEQ stop-work authority on every site.

Safety is not a slogan. It is the daily decision to do the work the right way, even when the programme is tight.HSEQ team — AAC Group

How we run safety

  • Stop-work authority for everyone. Any AAC operative, supervisor or sub can stop a job at any time. No questions.
  • Daily site briefings. Every site, every morning. Risks reviewed, RAMS rechecked, hazards called out.
  • Independent HSEQ audit. Monthly, every active site.
  • Near-miss reporting without blame. The data we want most is the data on what almost went wrong.

The standard, year on year

We measure ourselves against three things: zero lost-time incidents, full RAMS compliance, and near-miss reporting culture. We will publish the next set of figures with our annual HSEQ report.
